How can I learn more about minimally invasive arthroscopic joint surgery?
Arthroscopic joint surgery is minimally invasive, making the procedure safe and officiant so that you can get back to your regular activities as soon as possible.
Arthroscopy is a surgical procedure in which a surgeon can view and work inside a joint without having to make any large cuts in the area of the joint. During the surgery, the surgeon makes small incisions in the area around the joint, inserts a narrow tube attached to a fiber-optic camera, and then repairs the damage using thin surgical instruments. The incisions are very small in comparison to many other forms of surgeries, making the procedure minimally invasive.
A minimally invasive procedure like arthroscopy is easier on a patient since the procedure doesn’t cut any muscles or tendons. This makes the post-procedure period much easier on the patient.
After the procedure, patients are expected to be able to go home within a few hours!
Arthroscopy can be used to treat a variety of conditions affecting the shoulders, wrists, elbows, knees, and more. Some of the related arthroscopic procedures we can provide are shoulder arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, shoulder arthroscopic labral/ligament repairs, and knee arthroscopic ACL repairs.
